ECONYL

ECONYL® is a techno-fiber made 100% from regenerated nylon sourced from discarded fishnets, industrial plastic and other nylon waste types recovered from landfills and oceans all over the world.

THE FUTURE IS CIRCULAR

Our appetite to create new products and buy new products is infinite. The planet’s resources aren’t. Now we can have both: new products and a better environment.

Nylon waste, otherwise polluting the Earth, is transformed into ECONYL® regenerated nylon. It's exactly the same as brand new nylon and can be recycled, recreated and remoulded again and again.

Our sustainable swimwear is made with recycled fabric made from ocean waste such as plastics and fishing nets (ECONYL®).

Products made with this fabric can be recycled again and again without losing quality and thus we can create new products without having to use new resources, contributing to a circular economy.

Our timeless designs transcend the seasons. This is how we also want to reduce the impact of fashion on the environment.

Sustainable fabric made with ECONYL is twice as resistant to chlorine, sunscreens and oils as competing non-sustainable options.

THE PROCESS

Ocean waste goes through the following regeneration process:

1. Rescue: we begin by rescuing ocean waste, classified and cleaned to recover as much nylon as possible.

2. Regeneration: after a regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled until its original purity is recovered.

3. Remake: Regenerated nylon is processed into yarns and polymers.

4. Reimagine: We now start our creative process where we design and create the brand
new GADIR SWIM bikinis without using new resources.

That nylon has the potential to be recycled infinitely, without ever losing its quality. The goal is that once all products containing regenerated nylon are no longer useful to customers, they can return to step 1 of the Regeneration System.
